League of Legends – LEC Spring Week 1 – Day 2

League of Legends – LEC Spring Week 1 – Day 2

Day two of LEC Spring Split is here and with it five more exciting fixtures where Europe’s best teams will test their strength on the Summoner’s Rift. So without further ado, here are our predictions for day two of LEC Spring Split.

Team Vitality vs MAD Lions
Saturday, January 25 – 17:00 CET

Team Vitality completely dropped the ball last week and lost SK Gaming, where they looked very disorganized and without any good idea as of what they are doing. MAD Lions on the other side looked very solid against G2, at least in the early game, but they eventually got completely outclassed by the reigning LEC champions. MAD Lions are a very aggressive team which they showed in their clash with G2 Esports and if they can produce anything similar here, they should have a fairly easy time against Vitality, who seem to lack any real stability.

Prediction: MAD Lions -5.5 kills – 2.07 Pinnacle

Rogue vs Excel Esports
Saturday, January 25 – 18:00 CET

This match will be an interesting one, partially because Excel looked so strong in their meeting with Schalke. Rogue are still considered as a heavy favorite, which is more than fair, but we can’t help but feel like this match won’t be as straightforward for Rogue as the odds would suggest. Rogue look to be stronger in all positions, however, Excel have strong fundamentals that should hold back Rogue for a bit longer. We expect a 40+ minute game here, where Rogue should come out ahead, yet Excel won’t go down without a fight.

Prediction: Over 23.5 kills – 1.83 Bet365

Schalke vs Origen
Saturday, January 25 – 19:00 CET

Schalke lost against Excel in game one of the split, which was a painful sight to see, especially considering the match marked the return of Konstantinos “FORG1VEN” Tzortziou who, as expected, failed to look as strong as he did back in 2016. What we did notice, however, is that he can be overly aggressive, which might have something to do with his ego and while that secured him a couple of kills, it also made the pace at which Schalke play significantly faster. Origen on the other side completely trashed Fnatic with their aggressive strategy, which we believe they will utilize here as well. Origen are without a doubt the favorites to win here, but considering both teams play at a fast pace, this will undoubtedly be one of the most exciting fixtures of the day with plenty of kills on display.

Prediction: Over 24.5 kills – 1.83 Bet365

Misfits vs Fnatic
Saturday, January 25 – 20:00 CET

After a disastrous performance in game one, it would be hard to be too excited about Fnatic and their chances to impress here, but considering they are playing Misfits, who looked very weak in game one, Fnatic should have a fairly easy time winning here. There is not a lot going for Misfits, and while an upset is possible, the difference in individual quality is just too massive for us to consider that option.

Prediction: Fnatic to win – 1.268 Pinnacle

G2 Esports vs SK Gaming
Saturday, January 25 – 21:00 CET

LEC surely saved the best for last as G2 take on SK Gaming on the last day of LEC 2020 Spring Split week 1. SK Gaming played very well in game one where they managed to take advantage of Vitality’s mistakes to turn the game around in their favor, however, G2 are an entirely different beast. There is little to no chance for SK to win here and the odds fairly reflect that. G2 had a slow start in game one, but as soon as they realized they might lose, they turned on their jets and decimated MAD Lions. What we expect to see here is G2 not taking any chances and rather turn on their jets and decimate SK in under 30 minutes to end the week with a 2-0 record.

Prediction: G2 Esports -5.50 Kills – 1.357 Pinnacle

Best bet: Rogue v Excel – Over 24.5 kills
